❊❊❊❊WINTER HOLIDAY VILLAGE PICTURE CONTEST❊❊❊❊
THE RULES and other info....
❊Most important rule - HAVE FUN WITH THIS! MAKE A MEMORY!
❊No entry fee.
❊No popularity voting. Judges are Mairead Fitzgerald, Sutra Kish and Karra Babii.
❊No nudity whatsoever.
❊Entrant must be at least 30 days old at time of submission.
❊One image to be submitted per week per contestant.
❊Image can be photoshopped.
Image can be a straight SL snapshot.
Use of Windlight settings are your choice.
❊Image must show you wearing or using one item from us and/or our participating Winter Holiday Village Merchants.
❊Image must be taken utilizing the assigned area for that particular week. Each Location is announced the 1st day of each contest week. See calendar above.
❊Image MUST be renamed WHV Contest WEEK #(number here) Name not required. It is in the picture properties.
❊Image is to be given to Mairead Fitzgerald ONLY.
❊Image must be FULL permission.
❊By submitting to the contest, you & all others , if any, in the photo, agree to allow us to post your image Flickr group WinterSL.

Deadline for each week is on Saturday evening by 11:59 PM SLT.
❊Judging will be held the next day, Sunday, and winner announced that evening.
❊Judges, their alts, employees, merchants in residence & their staff and our staff, are not eligible to participate.
Winner announcement will be in the subscriber group (no group required subscriber is located at the front of the Magic of Christmas Shop) and image will be posted to the Flickr group and the subscriber group announcements.
A weekly winner will be awarded $1000L until the contest ends December 24, 2012. If mutliple people are in the pose, the $L prize is awarded to the person who submits the image to Mairead (Mrs. Santa Claus). Submitter must have an active SecondLife Account on the prize day to accept funds. Prize money is in LINDEN DOLLARS ONLY.
The weeks winner will be displayed around the sim in the location the picture was shot for that week.
Note: TP is available to picture areas from landing zone, grab a guide from the gnome! You may also access the area by riding the horse drawn carriage or just walk on over . :)

This is not a "fashion shoot". What will impress us most is showing you, your friends & family doing what makes this place special. Making memories!
It is a snow sim, but you are not limited to a holiday theme. You are welcome to send to us or post to our Flickr group your other non-contest entry pics taken at Winter Holiday Village sim as well. It is our humble opinion the sim is best seen with setting close to sunset or midnight. Particles maxed to 8096. Atmospheric shaders off unless using windlight. However, this is your artistic choice. If using a capable viewer, we find that Fairy Blue (Paulina) gives excellent icey snow looking results without changing skin, hair or clothing colors.
